Excellent idea. I am bringing two pies to the "picnic". The first is for
those of you in the throes of 100+degree days: a margarita ice cream pie
made with vanilla ice cream, margarita mix, lime sherbet, just a whiff of
Tres Generaciones, and a pretzel and sea salt crust. The second is a
chocolate fantasy torta for those of us for whom it's been unseasonably
cool. It features a graham-pecan-hazelnut crust, an inch or so of
bittersweet chocolate ganache, an inch or so of tiramisu filling, and an
inch or so of white chocolate buttercream, topped with a marbled dark and
white chocolate glaze. 

P.S. - anyone who is going to Orlando, I am looking into reserving an extra
room for a night or two with a kitchenette so I can create the latter right
there at conference. :)
