Hello Everyone,

As I too am relatively new to this list-serv, I'd like to quickly introduce myself and ask for any advice or wisdom from my fellow information/records managers.
I am a recent graduate from UBC's Master of Archival Studes program (Hi Luciana!), and am currently employed with the federal government. I'm preparing to assist in a records inventory at our regional central registry. I have a little bit of experience in carrying out records inventories, and I think I'm prepped for the undertaking (I've tried to dig up as many articles and guidelines as I could), but I was wondering if anyone else had carried out inventories in the past, and if so, did they have any useful general information or suggestions that I may wish to keep in mind?

In particular, did you run into any unforeseen problems, or were there any specific situations that caused any difficulties?
Are there any specific sources of information (books, articles, websites, etc) that you would recommend that I may wish to check to ensure I've covered all my bases?

Thanks very much in advance, and please let me know if I'm missing any pertinent information.
