first of all ISO 9000 is a group of standards related to quality management
and nothing to do with shredding equipment

ISO itself is the International Standards Organization

you can search their site to see if there are any standards about
shredding/document destruction

you can also see if there are any US standards (I assume since you are in
Austin you would prefer US standards versus Australian or EU since they are
more on point) by searching through ANSI (American National Standards
Institute) website http://www.ansi.org

you can also look for guidelines or best practices at the National
Association for Information Destructors (NAID) http://www.naidonline.org/ as
they are the trade association for shredding vendors
