First, apologies for a recent posting that was irrelevant to this list.

My name is Luis Teodoro Gutierrez, 67, Cuban-American, retired after 35
years in industrial R&D jobs ... including 30 years with IBM ... so my
idea of records management is to use a relational database.

Now I have my own independent research project on sustainability and
related issues ... and self-publish a monthly open access e-journal on
sustainable development (pelicanweb.org).

At the moment, I am working on an online survey about education for
sustainable development. The goal is to determine how citizens can best
be motivated to support (via the democratic process) changes to the
current maze of incentives/subsidies so as to encourage more investment
in "green" projects. Everyone is cordially invited to participate, and
this is the link to the survey form:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dER6YnFIUXI4bW0yNTU4YThOaHJkTWc6MA..

I am using Google Docs for records management (it is clumsy, but free).
The database is basically an excel-like spreadsheet where respondents'
inputs are recorded after they submit a completed survey form. A nice
feature is a summary analysis report (with histograms) that can be
generated and disseminated to the respondents who entered their email
address. The spreadsheet can be exported to an excel file that can be
downloaded for further analysis.

Sincerely,
Luis
