Most of the live-Tweeting I see (and what I personally posted) was much more
along the lines of sharing rather than commentary (at least in the middle of
the presentation).  There are typically some good "sound bite" comments made
during presentations, and those are what I typically see on Twitter.  So, in
essence, if you approach it that way, your Twitter feed is simply an
alternate note-taking device.  Laptops have been common in presentations for
several years as folks opt to use those to take notes, so why not switch to
your iPhone or other hand-held device and save your back from all of that
lugging!
