place? If not you should. at your 'children' agencies there should be
folks who are tasked as part of the duties with disaster recovery. These

individuals who are part of the disaster recovery team should be allowed
to contact the vendor. At the same time the vendor needs to be provided
with those names."

We do have a disaster plan...in its infant stages, but we do have
something. We do have individuals at each agency who will be primary
points of contact and who will interact with our chosen vendor...they
just don't know it yet, hence the reason for my question.

I'm looking for some "verbage" as I draft a letter notifying each agency
of the choice for a single disaster recovery vendor to be used by all
agencies within the organization. (I'm just the messenger!) I'm not in a
corporate setting and the organizational culture here is a bit more on
the "touchy-feely" side. Each of our units still has some degree of
autonomy in spirit if not in letter, so I'm finding it difficult to
create an announcement that's not going to alienate those who might
already have had a relationship with another vendor. We have the
authority to prescribe a single vendor and that's what we're doing, but
it feels like I'm telling each agency to "eat their veggies." Has anyone
had to write an announcement like this? ;-) I'm not the RM for our
organization, but this is a task that has been assigned to me, so any
assistance would be appreciated.
