TOUCHDOWN!  How Fantasy Football Can Make Your Records Program a Winner

Donna Jean G. Vitalie, CRM
Wednesday, September 16, 2009

Time:  Networking - 6:00 pm, Dinner - 6:30 pm, Presentation - 7:30 pm

Location:  Mi Rancho Restaurant, 1488 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD  20852, (301) 588-4872

Program:   This summer AOL unveiled a new mission statement, defined by employees around the globe.  Simple but powerful, this new mission changed the operational value of some records and information for the company. To be successful, a RIM program needs to be properly positioned and aligned with company strategic goals.  A change in direction requires a reevaluation of RIM program goals, and plans for achieving objectives. Donna Vitalie, Director of Records Management for AOL, discusses revisiting the corporate records management strategy to mesh with AOL’s new mission.  She also will describe how fantasy football led to an interesting retention implementation strategy and use of communication tools.  Come to this meeting prepared to discuss and enjoy both football and records management!

Speaker:  Donna Vitalie is the Director of Records Management for AOL LLC, where she leads the records management program for AOL and its wholly owned subsidiaries.  She is a Certified Records Manager with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.  Donna has held leadership positions in the records management community, including serving as President of the Greater Washington DC chapter, Region Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region, and on the Board of Directors for ARMA International. She advised Fortune 500 and AmLaw 100 clients while consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young and Federal government clients while with Booz Allen Hamilton.  Her experience spans nearly all areas of records management and records retention programs including assessing and improving programs, developing and implementing related policies and procedures, and selecting and deploying technology enablers.
