good point, the problem is that RIM and organizations are having to play
catch up when individuals implement new technologies without understanding
the impact that technology may have on the organization.

Just because someone wants to use a technology doesn't make it an
appropriate technology for the organization. Prohibitions are needed so that
an organization can study the technology and understand how it can be used
most effectively by the organization. Concrete solutions come about through
careful analysis, review and implementation.

It reminds me of an internal report I received recently concerning how much
spam people at my company receive. I had to think about that because I don't
received spam at my work email account. Why? because I use it only for work
purposes. I don't use that email address for any other purpose, thus I don't
get spam and haven't in 4 years.
