Do you have the ability to charge back to the department? I have in past sent official notice to the managers of the departments outlining the problem and then give them the cost breakdown per box and then charged the department for re-box and a prorated cost for manpower (SAP if you use it has a breakdown of hourly cost per employee) oh yeah I always rounded up. Do you use internal tracking once the boxes arrive if so you can have them sign for it and note condition delivered to avoid argument.

Hi Anne,
Unfortunately, I know it's our employees. All boxes come through my
department from off-site before they are delivered to the employees. If
the box had come in from off-site damaged then we would have repacked the
box prior to delivering it to the requesting individual.
