At one point I was receiving between 400-500 emails a day. Today I get as
many as 100 a day, between work AND personal accounts. And that's if the
listserv is busy because I've made the specific decision not to forward them
into a folder. (And the same decision for a few other sources of
information). The difference? I have moved most of my information-gathering
activities to blogs and RSS feeds, so they don't clutter my inbox and I can
look at them or not as the mood strikes me. Obviously these are not
work-related messages, but the overwhelming majority of the stuff *most*
people get isn't either.

Peter makes an important point - send the listserv, vendor announcements,
etc. to a personal account and leave work for work, and it will dramatically
reduce the amount of stuff in your inbox.

Respectfully submitted on behalf of myself and no other company,
organization, association, entity, or board of directors,

Jesse Wilkins, CRM
