In doing a search for "records management" in the Kindle Store, I see a number of titles that I know the ARMA bookstore has brokered from time to time, but I do not see (in an initial glance) any ARMA publications. I think we have to be careful here. "Approved by ARMA" is really a mis-nomer. The ARMA Bookstore sells a variety of publications. ARMA publishes quite a number of books, but it also sells (brokers) a number of titles from other publishers that are of interest to its members. I'm not sure that I would call those titles "approved", but I think it is safe to say that the titles ARMA sells have interest to records managers as a whole. However, just because ARMA doesn't sell a particular title, I wouldn't discount the value of the publication, although I would look at it very closely. There is a fair amount of trash out there.
Also, in looking at the Kindle offerings, some of the titles are fairly dated, so before laying out significant money for a book, check the original publication date. Any book that addresses technology or the law gets stale in a hurry.
As for me, I prefer good old paper. I had bookshelves made for my home office and I just like to have a book handy that I can flip through when I'm looking for something. And books don't need batteries or software upgrades... geek that I can be, I'm still a sucker for a good book.
