One of the more 'unique' restrictions I've heard of comes from a friend
who's an analyst with a top research firm who works with the high tech industry.
In addition to having to sign very detailed and extensive Non-Disclosure
Agreements, one of his clients recently gave him a copy of a policy that
forbids visitors from either sending text messages or "tweets" from the
facility or its adjacent parking lots when visiting.
Apparently the reason behind it is the geotagging http://bit.ly/PbzWt that
takes place with some applications would allow someone to discern WHERE he
was if he publishes a message that doesn't name the client regarding an
"interesting discussion on XYZ" having taken place.
Social networking definitely has its anti-social aspects as well it appears.
