Chris,
In our organization the only acceptable redaction is as follows:
A secure redacted copy is made by photocopying the original; redacting the
copy using a special redaction pen (black heavy felt pen), then
photocopying the redacted copy. The result is your secure redacted copy.
You need to photocopy the redacted copy because print can sometimes still
be legible if you hold the paper up to the light.
