Larry as always, has good advice.
It has to be a win-win situation between you and the vendor. If you doubt
charges in a certain area, then question them and don't let it go till
they have substantiated their charges. Everything is negotiable, however
these companies will not give the bank away to get your business. I have
tiered pricing based upon volume of boxes sent to the vendor. The more we
send, the cheaper it becomes.
When I reviewed our contract, I moved away from that big company and moved
toward someone who cared about my records, worked on my needs as a
customer and has been quick to respond to any situation which arises. If
this doesn't happen for you now, then consider moving when your contract
has expired. There are many smaller vendors out there who take a more
personal approach to managing your information and actually care about
your records. Without mentioning names, I know of a company in Wyoming
who takes this approach.
