Hi Vickie,

I think you should check the copyright of your records.
You mentioned about the plants that got closed.
Were they plants that produced the company's owned production or made products according to somebodies orders and continue to keep the records in case for getting claim.
If you(corporation) decides to move offices, and records, to another locations, please check your obligations with local financial authorities and social/pension's institutions.

May be you should post with local news providers about possible transfer of records and make suggestions to check with the company if somebody needs copy of the records for social insurance issues.

What about informing your clients about changing the address of actual plants, warranty issues

Hi All,

We are planning a consolidation effort for our hard-copy paper records.
We've had several plant closures in Canada in the past couple years.
Because the plants are closed, the records are all stored with a couple
different vendors in Canada.

Anyone got any idea of the legal or regulatory processes involved in
transporting our records to the U.S.?

Thanks,

Vickie
