ARMA has in the past done such CBAs. In fact I suspect that they do it on a
regular basis. The membership surveys are designed to take the pulse of the
membership. They help provide the Board with the direction that the
membership wants to the association to go in. as to surveying potential
members how could they do that? Properly constructed surveys cost money. How
do you identify potential members to survey? Speaking of membership I
noticed that in an earlier posting you said that you recommended to your
students that they join ACA and SAA. So why not recommend membership in ARMA
to them?

I think it is a great idea that you and the other supporters of
peer-reviewed journal are willing to put together a business case for an
online peer-reviewed journal that would include potential sources of
financial support and subscription revenue.
