I have been asked to put together a proposal (to be presented to upper
management) for our retention schedule review.

 

Background:

Our current retention schedule was developed 3 years ago. Since then, we
have noted several instances where the schedule doesn't reflect actual
business practices in some of our depts. On top of this, our newly
formed records management group (my position included) was not involved
in the development of the schedule.

 

I was wondering if anyone else has been asked to put together a proposal
stating the case for a retention schedule review and if so would you
