Among basements affected was the Bucari Building on 6th Street. The state
stores child support and Internal Revenue Service documents in the cellar
that are supposed to be kept for 99 years.


I'd like to see THIS citation!  IRS documents with a 99 year retention?  I
know of some child support records in unusual cases with "25 years past
reaching majority age" as a retention requirement, but I've never heard of
99 years.
