My law firm has a lot of old files in storage (over 10 years). I
believe that if we had a retention and destruction policy in place this
would go a long way in reducing the cost of storing these files.

Does anyone has a retention and destruction policy or information they
can share? If you are not able to share the policy, does anyone have
any recommendations on getting management to take this seriously.

I already have the book "Records Management in the Legal Environment: A
Handbook of Practice and Procedure" by Jean Barr, Beth Chiaise and Lee
Nemchek that I have used as reference.

Any additional information would be helpful.
Thank you,
Irene Eklund
