Texas Supreme Court judges to review historic records
Four members of the Texas Supreme Court, including Chief Justice Wallace B.
Jefferson, will be in Galveston today to review the progress of the county’s
historic court records archiving effort.

In 2008, Texas district clerks and the Texas Supreme Court created the Texas
Court Records Preservation Task Force to launch a statewide effort to
catalog, restore and preserve records from 1836 to 1920.
