Now I understand what's going on in some companies.
 
From time to time i received a call from companies that know my name and telephone,  but introduce them selves very fast that I need to ask to repeat who they are.
It is interesting that after "saying" their names, the callers slowly say something like" Please be aware of that "our" conversation would be recorded for training and retention purposes."  Because it is annoying, I started to ask two types of questions, and closing the telephone because I have never received the answer:
 
1. What does  retention purpose mean?
2. How long the company keeps record of our conversation?
 
Again, no one was able to answer my simple questions.
