There is a lot of hype in the media and talk at industry conferences about
cloud computing and its impact on traditional IT operations.
Many private and public sector organizations have announced that they are
“going to the cloud” to host their business applications and store
mission-critical data. And while there is great optimism that cloud-based
solutions and technologies can lower IT costs and improve technology
deployments, the outsourcing of electronic records creation, access and
storage deserves close scrutiny and due diligence.
If you are interested in learning about cloud computing trends and gain
practical advice on how to address records management requirements when
buying cloud-based services, mark your calendar and plan to attend the
ARMA-Madison Spring Seminar, "2011 Forecast: Cloudy With a Chance of
Clearing" is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19 in the Fluno Center on the
campus of the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
