Robert,

I saw another employer hiring for many of the same positions, so I wonder if
this is in a 'pre-contract-award' status and they're getting ready to pull
triggers in a hurry. Unfortunately for people in this day and age, that
could mean days (literally) to report for duty or weeks before they even
interview. I've seen federal contractors move slow (three months with the
current one; totally worth it in in the end), medium speed (about six weeks
with the first one, which is about typical for the average private sector,
professional level positions these days) and speed of light fast (my second
experience with a federal contractor was 7 days from date of offer to start
date....1100 miles from where I was living)..
