HUD demands that citizen group return Marina del Rey records -

In alerting Barish of the potential problem with the way the agency answered
his Freedom of Information Act request, a HUD attorney demanded he return
the papers, destroy electronic copies of the documents and provide names,
addresses and phone numbers of anyone who may have received the information.
The June 9 letter signed by HUD attorney-adviser Edward Campbell says the
move was prompted by correspondence from Shores' attorneys to the federal
agency, "alleging that in responding to (the) request, HUD may not have
fully complied with the FOIA process; and improperly released confidential
commercial, financial and other personal information" subject to open
records law exemptions.
