I receive the Data Storage Connection and CIO and other IT Industry mailings and I find it interesting that they never seem to be aware of the articles about the Cloud failures.

Today's headlines was about Data Living in the Cloud Forever.  This is not a good thing for business records. They don't get it.  Politicians are finding that things they said in past elections lives to hurt them in current elections as the Internet keeps things indiscriminately.

And nothing private is really private.

Is there any IT publication that is fair and balanced about the advantages versus the disadvantages?

A few years ago we tried to put out Press Releases in this arena and were told that nothing is newsworthy if some hardware, software or other vendor is not paying for it to be discussed.  Pay for Play was the term.  Hence it seems that is is always outsiders who evaluate the real developments in the computer industry.

What do you all read that you believe gives a real balanced view of trends that are solid and legitimate in the field of technology?
