The City has started to use the internal web site to post the "official" version of policy and procedures.  The retention would, logically, be applied to the documents themselves, however, we are cognizant of the fact that most employees will quote what they saw on the website when defending an action or interacting with another employee or a customer.  Therefore, we've had to keep snapshots of all pages before they change or are revised in order to see what the employee saw at a given time.
