Hello -

For those of you who used an outside consultant to do the legal research on 
your Records Retention Schedule, did you also have your legal department 
review it for an added level of thoroughness? I would like to know your 
thought process either way.

I think it is important to have an internal legal review, but our attorneys have 
said they don’t have time to do a thorough job. I figure a Retention Schedule 
is a living document which is never "perfect", so I suppose it comes down to 
how much time and money you want to spend on getting it as 
defensibly “perfect” as possible.

All feedback is appreciated.
