One hopes that some planning is being put into preservation, as SAP/GIS are
highly complex systems that I wouldn't necessarily rely on as the sole
repository of long term records. I could see the same problem repeating
itself in the future. Having some experience with both, this will be a very
complex conversion and integration process.
