Job Description
ASRC Primus is currently looking for an Information Specialist 3 in
Seattle, WA
Roles/Responsibilities:
The IS 3 will assist the Records Information Manager (RIM) 4/ Task
Order Manager (TOM) by providing support for the technological
aspects of the electronic record keeping and maintenance and use
of the Web Sites and protocols necessary to fulfill the
requirements of the Task Order.
The IS 3 personnel may perform but are not limited to the
following technical service; providing support and maintenance of
the EPA's Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), maintaining
Records Management and ECMS Intranet web pages. Ability to
recommend upgrades to EPA Records Management Systems.
The IS 3 shall perform all duties assigned by the RIM4/TOM to
complete the tasks and deliverables as required by the Task.
The IS 3 is responsible for the successful completion of the
assigned tasks in addressing electronic records management,
implementing ECMS, and providing ECMS training to EPA staff.
The IS 3 will assist the RIM4/ TOM to ensure all deliverables
assigned are fulfilled on time and meet Client expectations and
task order quality requirements.
The IS 3 will work primarily with electronic records and systems
training EPA staff on ECMS, acting as Liaison between ECMS
reference desk and EPA information technology staff;
troubleshooting for technical in house problems; and providing the
RIM4/TOM with weekly and monthly reports.
Prepare ECMS project implementation plans and provide technical
support for ECMS implementations.
Provide training materials and conduct training for project
implementations.
Develop testing scenarios for new application implementations.
Occasional travel to provide training.
Ensure that requests form the Client are handled in accordance
with approved EPA/ASRC protocols.
Communicate progress and difficulties encountered on a regular
basis to the TOM/RIM4 and function as a backup to the RIM4/TOM
when needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field with
experience in using content management systems such as Documentum,
scanning software, performing quality assurance of scanned
documents and metadata, and preparing system test plans.
OR three years experience in using Content Management systems,
scanning , performing quality assurance and retrieving information
from the Internet, possessing a certificate from a post high
school Vocational/technical school with emphasis on the computer
science or business; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and
two to three years of college level education and or an Associate
Degree.
Experience with the use of Versatile Records Management software
and knowledge of working with federal records or the Environmental
Protection Agency is desired.
Ability to multi task, coordinate and organize resources
effectively including prioritizing activities; be able to work
independently and professionally, meet deadlines, produce high
quality deliverables and have proficiency with Microsoft Business
Tools. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively,
patiently , and courteously with others
Physical Demands include; having a full range of arm movement,
e.g. lifting above the head, ability to do data entry for long
periods of time, ability to sit for long periods of time, usage of
step or regular ladder to reach higher shelves, ability to lift
approximately 40 pounds in weight on a near daily basis, pushing
or pulling 160 pounds on a cart, and be able to bend, stoop, and
kneel.
