Lake County recorder's documents go digital

CROWN POINT | Lake County Recorder Michelle Fajman said land records in her
office will now be a keystroke away.

Fajman is launching an online records search service Thursday, opening her
office's archive of land deeds, mortgages, liens, leases, bankruptcy
notices and other business records to the public in a conveniently digital
form.

Fajman will roll out the service with a public demonstration from 11 a.m.
to noon in the commissioner's courtroom at the Lake County Government
Complex, 2293 N. Main St., Crown Point.
