Topic: Negotiating Privacy Compliant Cloud Contracts

Description: Cloud computing is really just outsourcing – or is it? The trend
towards cloud computing is straining our traditional notions of data ownership
and control. This session will examine the increasingly rigorous contracts and
due diligence practices needed to address these concerns and meet the
current expectations of Canadian privacy regulators. The session will
encourage discussion around the suitability (or lack of suitability) of often “take
it or leave it” cloud contracts for certain types of outsourcing arrangements.
