Everyone,

I need your advice once again. We will shortly begin scanning our documents into Open Text in our computer rather than keeping hard copies out in boxes. I am leery of just shredding the hard copies right after scanning, but everyone here disagrees with me. Also, they don't believe in verifying that all the documents made it into the system in good form. They like the old dump and run method. Am I just overly protective? If you do your records electronically, how do you handle the hard copies? Do you have some system of verifying the scans? I need to go back to the group with a good argument and I can't just use mom's typical, "because I said so" this time.

Thanks!
Lisa
