Here is information on tonight's meeting:
Please join ARMA NOVA for our October chapter meeting. Our program theme
for this Chapter Season is “eRecords and Information Governance, leaving the
paper paradigm behind.” Our speaker for October’s meeting is Christina
Ayiotis, who will discuss Global Information Governance: Security and Privacy
in a New Era.
The risk of liability for a data breach remains high. Potential liability lurks
nearly everywhere, from information governance to employee training to the
rollout of new information systems. More than ever, avoiding mistakes and
pitfalls is an integral part of business and having foolproof technical security is
no longer enough. There is a crucial need for a dialogue on the reasonable
limits of civil, criminal, and national security liability, as well as the need to
keep abreast of changes in government oversight, cyber security
developments, and data governance best practices.
Join us October 2nd for a discussion regarding the necessary collaboration
within organizations to mitigate information risk and better exploit information
assets (whether delivering government services or maximizing corporate
profits).
About our Speaker:
