We do not keep the physical copies of the invoices.  These are in the accounting software and can be retrieved and printed on demand.  We do keep the draft, or pre-bill, for a limited time.  That allows for questions as Ray mentioned which do indeed come up.  But the retention on the pre-bills is less than a year.  This was approved by our GC and Accounting.  Hope this helps!
