Program:Using
enterprise-wide, functional retention schedules, DOI uses auto-classification
to manage content. The solution supports records, e-discovery, FOIA, Ethics,
Administrative / Congressional records, cybercrimes, and inspector general
activities. This presentation provides lessons of experience with strategies
used to establish the program, garner support, consolidate systems, and apply
auto-classification to manage content at receipt or transmission. Based on real
world experience, this may assist other organizations in formulating strategies
and realizing the possibilities of a centralized solution.

Speakers:  John Montel is the Deputy, eRecords Officer
for Dept. of Interior.  He is responsible
for over a dozen enterprise programs within the DOI’s IT Transformation Office,
which is working to consolidate multiple information-based systems.  Mr. Montel has over 20 years of information
management experience and was recently recognized by industry with the Open
Text Global Star Award for support of the email, Enterprise Records and
Document Management System (eERDMS) program.  Mr. Montel also serves on the AIIM National
Capitol Chapter Board.  

Mr. Frost is Vice President of the Federal Sector for
The IQ Business Group, Inc, a leading provider of data and information
management solutions for highly regulated industries and the public sector. Mr.
Frost also serves as the IQBG Deputy Program Manager for the DOI email,
Enterprise Records and Document Management System (eERDMS). A cloud-based
enterprise-wide records and document management solution developed to
centralize Department records management. Mr. Frost is a member of the AIIM
Company of Fellows and currently serves as President of the AIIM National
Capitol Chapter.

Menu:
Dinner will be a buffet with a choice of Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Penne Pasta,
or Grilled Chicken Skewers as a main course.  Also includes Caesar or Mixed Green Salad, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes,
Mixed Vegetables, and non-alcoholic beverages.
