There are also uses of records in our favorite TV shows....

Star Trek fans will remember the Tri-Corder which recorded physical properties (medical records) and The Enterprise which always knew where an individual was (RFID) and could create your favorite recipes. There were numerous other shows ranging from the sci-fi groups to the soap operas. We could probably find the use of records in them. I find it a fascinating subject. My favorite way to mis-quote a movie (on purpose) "I see records everywhere" instead of "I see dead people".
