I did one conference and my concern was that Lorman was more concerned about drawing attendees than knitting together a cohesive educational experience. IT was back in 1999-2000 and each speaker spoke about Y2K and the sessions became very repetitive. I was in the mid afternoon and as people spoke I kept crossing off my slides and notes.

I would have preferred if they divided the topic up so there was no repetitive thought. The critiques from the audience reflected that. I would ask that they give you the agenda for each speaker so what you present is something new and fresh.

One company used the conference to promote their business and every point was how their company helped the clients with certain problems and why they were the best option.

I would make sure you know the intent of the conference and who the fellow speakers are.
