Historic records in dire need of preservation - The Paris Beacon-News:
Feature Stories

Local historian Harry "Heck" Parrish is concerned about the state of early
county records kept in the courthouse vaults.

He addressed the county board during the Feb. 19 meeting outlining how
early record books are in poor shape and loose documents prior to 1890 are
often on thin paper and folded, which makes them delicate to handle. Such
records, Parrish claimed, are priceless and steps must be taken to preserve
them.
