Until 2013 I worked at a law firm that was an early adopter of IRM, and I
know a number of other firms who use it. To my knowledge, HP is committed
to keeping IRM as viable application for law firm records. Their related
application ARM (Autonomy Records Manager) is planned for obsolescence,
though. (I think thereıs a lot of confusion in the marketplace between
IRM and ARM, although theyıre very different applications intended for
different verticals.)

Caveat: I no longer use IRM, so I have no recent (within the last year)
knowledge of any significant changes in HPıs strategy regarding this
product. However, the people I stay in touch with who are users havenıt
said anything about it being discontinued.
