Do you have a list of the keywords that you want to identify, or do you want
to extract all words?

Look at ABBYY.  There are others.

Greetings ListServ,
 
I am looking for an optical character recognition software that can extract
"keywords" to create metadata.  We would be scanning documents and uploading
to SharePoint.  What software are you using to achieve this?  Anything else
you could add would be much appreciated.
