The 90's were 20 years ago. What is going to happen in 2015-2025 period? The demand for qualified record managers has gone up significantly. I see listings for dozens of positions weekly. There is enought volume now that some companies and headhunters specialize in recruiting record managers. It seems that the demand for CRM's out strips the production of CRM's. Some positions have been filled with "want-ta-be" record managers from legal, information systems, and administrative consulting. Many of these people join AIIM, ARMA and PRISM trying to learn and qualify on the job.

Dr. Robert Bailey, CRM, MIT, ECMp

actually we did see a large increase in salaries with the passage of
Sarbanes-Oxley. Salaries in the private sector jumped quickly into the
6-figures as companies sought to hire qualified records managers to
establish programs.

I think Ray Cunningham may have information on this since is did a couple
of salary surveys in late 90s early 00s
