Hello Records Managers,

This is my first message to this listserv and I hope I do this correctly! I have been very interested in all the postings by this group, they are of great interest to me in my duties as a Zoological Registrar and Records Manager.

Questions:

1.       If multiple entities need to sign a document, what do you recognize as the date of final execution of any documents you may prepare for a transaction?

2.       Are there any industry standards for this type of activity? If yes, please provide any references you may have about this subject.

In my industry, I have been given differing replies from differing types of entities (corporate, private, municipal, nonprofit, etc.) based on the perception of their oversight type. I am gathering intelligence for a review of this subject and I found that this group has been very good at discussing such subjects.
