My name is Nora Burmeister. I received my BA in Comparative Literature from the 
University of Oregon in 2009. I currently live in Portland, OR, and am in my last semester at 
Emporia State University, after which I will receive my MLS. 

I work in the information commons at Columbia Tech Center, a satellite campus of 
Vancouver, WA's Clark College. I'm taking records management this term because I think 
it's a skill that will broaden my employability and provide me with unique opportunities both 
within and beyond the library world. I'm especially interested in digital recordkeeping and 
how technology has altered the way records are processed and retained.
