<"Transitory records" is a term coined for unofficial documents that still need to be managed in an organization and may go through a much shorter disposition period.>

I also call these types of documents/files/data "transitory records."  This category was used quite a bit for "nonrecords" many years ago.  The word itself describes the nature of the information (from Dictionary.com):

adjective

1. not lasting, enduring, permanent, or eternal.

2. lasting only a short time; brief; short-lived; temporary
