I'm looking for some guidance and ideas.  I currently work for a very large electric company.  We are looking at setting some new goals for our Records Management Program.    For instance, we have Records Management Coordinators (RMCs) for each of our business lines.   At the end of each year, the RMCs are required to complete a self-assessment regarding their recordkeeping practices.  My group then audits these self-assessments to see if they are accurate.   Our Corporate Auditing Department requires us to do this to ensure compliance with our corporate policy regarding records and information management.

As part of our goals this year, we would like to strengthen our self-assessment process and our auditing process so I was wondering if any other company, especially utility companies, do anything similar?  If so, would you be willing to share?
