University of Oregon economics professor Bill Harbaugh acknowledged in an
interview Wednesday that he is the mystery faculty member who spent nearly
two months secretly harboring 22,000 pages of university documents.

Harbaugh, the author of the popular and cantankerous UO Matters
<http://www.uomatters.com/> blog, said he received the records Dec. 3 after
requesting them by email from the university archives. The records
consisted of documents and correspondence, some of them confidential, from
the university president's office dating to 2010.

"The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of
laissez-faire, unbridled competition.
They have occurred under the guidance of federal agencies, and under the
umbrella of federal regulations."
Senator Ted Kennedy, in defending trucking deregulation in 1978.
