In this tort action, the plaintiffs sought to recover damages allegedly
caused by harmful mold in a military housing complex. The plaintiffs were
very active in using email and Facebook to specifically deal with the issue
of mold and the injuries suffered as a result of the mold. However, the
plaintiffs produced little of the social media data, even though both the
plaintiffs and the defendants were aware that the data was potentially
relevant.

"The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of
laissez-faire, unbridled competition.
They have occurred under the guidance of federal agencies, and under the
umbrella of federal regulations."
Senator Ted Kennedy, in defending trucking deregulation in 1978.
