Hi everyone -
I would like to line my open wire shelving with Uline's acrylic sheeting. Besides the virgin acrylic, the MSDS lists polymethyl methacrylate (Plexiglass) ingredient.
NEDCC mentioned that Plexiglass can absorb pollutants and remit them over time, probably much like doc cases and acid free folders.
https://www.nedcc.org/free-resources/preservation-leaflets/4.-storage-and-handling/4.2footnotes#7
So I was wondering what the recommended time is, before you have to swap out existing acid-free housing for new ones. Maybe it's over 5-10 years?
Thanks!
