Very interesting point.  I will have to look into that from the standpoint that I don't want us to lose our certification over such a task.  I have resolved to be "happy" with the role, but don't want to hurt the company if ISO standards require something different.

THEN, a BIG red flag went up.  If this is part of a QAP (Quality Assurance
Program) and it's an ISO related compliance requirement, it should remain with the organization issuing and managing the documents.
