Summary: The Senior Records Administrator provides effective records
management best practices and guidelines to the business based on business
value creation and compliance management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Evaluates and provides guidance to business unit questions and requests
regarding the management and retention of records in accordance with
Company’s records management governance framework and enterprise retention
schedule.

Supports and maintains the enterprise retention schedule.
-
Identifies opportunities to improve capability of records management
throughout the Company.
-
Develops innovative business solutions for managing physical and
electronic record collections, in accordance with records management best
practices and records management governance framework.
-
Collaborates with the ECM team to ensure Company’s Enterprise Records
Management system effectively enables records management requirements;
performs data integrity reviews of the ECM system.

Performs records management compliancy audits and collaborates with the
business units on records process improvements.
-
Communicates records management policy; develops standards, procedures
and guidelines that support the policy and provides training to business
unit personnel.

Supports the Records and Information Coordinator in the development of
best in class records management team.

Leads the Records Coordinator Community of Practice.

Responsible for the maintenance of the ERCS and Records Coordinator
TeamSites.

Approve and direct the destruction of physical records which have met
their legal and business retention dates
-
Serves as the liaison with external service providers of physical
records management services and performs tasks associated with the
management of records in off-site storage locations including auditing of
the facilities, monitoring the destruction of off-site materials, and
maintaining and reconciling invoices.
Education and Experience Requirements:
-
Bachelor Degree Preferred, Certified Records Manager Preferred, OpenText
and Sharepoint a plus
-
A minimum of 3 years experience in physical and electronic records
management, experience in Oil and Gas Industry a plus.

Understanding of records management concepts and principles around
classification, retention schedules and RM practices as a core business
supporting service
-
Experience with developing and maintaining enterprise retention
schedules to include regulatory research pertaining to the Oil and Gas
industry a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate
effectively with various stakeholders and to educate/influence others in RM
best practices
-
Experience with Content/Document management systems such as OpenText and
SharePoint
-
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision
-
General proficiency in MS Office tools and business applications.
